Massage Therapy with Lori Ryan, LMT, NCTMB
Services Available:

Swedish Massage:  The most well-known massage, Swedish
involves the respectful, soothing, therapeutic stroking and
kneading of muscle tissue to promote stress relief.  It is used to
improve circulation, relieve muscle pain and tension, increase
flexibility and induce relaxation.  It combines three basic strokes
to the skin:  long, firm strokes; kneading strokes; and small
circles.  This is the most requested and one of the most
enjoyable massages. Strokes are generally applied by hand with
oil or lotion to lessen friction.
Deep Tissue:  Releases the chronic patterns of tension in the
body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the
contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of
the muscles, tendons and fascia.  It is called deep tissue because
it also focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.
Chair Massage:  A short (15 - 20 minute) massage of a client
sitting in a special, portable massage chair.  The client remains
fully clothed and no oils are used while their shoulders, neck,
upper back, head and arms are massaged.  On-Site is popular at
some offices as an employee benefit and for conferences,
workshops and certain social events.
